Easy Soap
February 23rd, 2011Easy Soap
The easiest soap you can make is a glycerin soap that is unscented. Dollar stores carry these. You take the soap and cut it up into small pieces and put it in a small pot. Take a larger pot and fill it half way with water. Put the small pot with the soap in it and place it in the larger pot so it floats on the water. Heat the pot with the water and watch the soap begin to melt! Once the soap is all melted down, you’ll need to put 30 to 50 drops of your favorite room scent or scented oil and stir.
If you have candy molds, you can pour the soap into the candy molds, or cookie cutters, put the cookie cutters on wax paper, pour just a little soap in and let it harden, then pour the rest of the soap into the cookie cutter, or you can take a small box, put a plastic bag to cover the bottom of it and pour the soap into that, then when it’s hard, pull the soap out of the box and out of the plastic and cut the form into bars. Wrap in wax paper, then in linen, or lace and tie with a ribbon!
